- Born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, June 12, 1983, Ben Heine studied Communication and Journalism at the Institut des Hautes Etudes des Communications Sociales - IHECS (Brussels) and Painting and History of Art at the Académie Royale des Beaux Arts de Bruxelles (Belgium) and at the Hastings college of Arts & Technology (England).
- Beside is conventional studies Ben is mostly a self made cartoonist, painter and illustrator. He currently produces political and artistic cartoons relating to day to day international or Belgian political issues and he intends to arouse reflection through the eyes of provocation and imagination. His paintings are rather mystical with expressive touches and could be classified as “erotico fantastico burlesque”.
- Ben Heine has participated in a large number of humour events and cartoon contests worldwide and he works now in Brussels as a free lance artist. He draws for local papers and satirical publications or pamphlets in Belgium.
- Ben Heine has also exhibited some of his drawings in several Websites dedicated to the cartoons such as www.karikaturevi.com, www.syriacartoon.com, www.tabrizcartoons.com, www.zhongman.com, www.haditoons.com, www.arabcartoon.net, www.cartoonru.com, www.grandenis.free.fr, www.donquichotte.at.
